This week we will have Chris F. hosting Rachel Thomas Rice, Rice Lake Public Library Dir. and Shelby Friendshuh, Public Services Dir. at RL Library. We will get an update on things happening at the RL Library along with info on a new project.
Last week we had a board report out. We did not get time in our committees after discussions on the board info and prep for our service projects in October. We reviewed the financials, discussed the Lumber HOF table (will look to order closer to spring), and we discussed the Dictionary Project. It appears that most, if not all, schools are covered for the county. Ken will be bringing dictionaries to our Thursday meeting so we can put on labels after the speaker. Following the meeting, several of us went to Jim's house. We selected a number of prints for the Bourbon Tasting Silent Auction and gathered up our Rotary materials to be stored at Johnson Bank. Did a brief update on Roses and Jason shared the link for online buying. Just waiting for tickets and posters. Please share info on purchasing - to make sure they select the Barron Co. Sunrise group so we get the credit.

Hope everyone had a great Labor Day!!! We meet this week on Wednesday at 7:00 am at Harvest Grill at Cumberland healthcare. We are working on dictionary distribution, volunteers for both the Suicide Prevention Walk and the Sleep in Heavenly Peace Bed Build coming up. Thanks, Lisa

John Nesheim- retired human resource manager, speaker, author of book, Wellness at Work, consultant. Spouse Marie with 3 grown daughters.
Did not meet this past week, but anticipated participating in the many Shell Lake Town & Country Days activities over Labor Day Weekend. Will also be following up regarding dictionary distribution in this area (potentially Elks Club in RL provides them - Dictionaries is also a project for the Elks Club). Also working with the city for a Rotary sign on the city border. Looking at future Visioning activity for our companion group.
Our next gathering is tomorrow - Sept 9, 5:30pm Shell Lake Lodge. Hopeful of Special guests from our Sunrise group to join us!
